Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Rotterdam Taxi Service RTS, based in Rotterdam and operating via the website https://rotterdamtaxicentrale.nl/ . By using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Definitions
In these terms, the following definitions apply:
1.1 Rotterdam Taxi Service RTS (RTS)
The service provider offering taxi transport via phone, email, website or other channels.
1.2 Customer / Client
Any natural person or legal entity making use of RTS services, including rides, reservations and business agreements.
1.3 Ride / Services
All forms of taxi transport, including private taxi, taxi van, airport transfers, business transport, group transport and medical transport.
1.4 Driver
A driver contracted by RTS, holding valid permits and RTX certification.
1.5 Reservation
Any ride requested in advance via phone, email, online booking form or business agreement.
2. Applicability
2.1 These terms apply to all services, rides, reservations and agreements between RTS and the customer.
2.2 Deviations are only valid if confirmed in writing by RTS.
3. Reservations & Bookings
3.1 Reservations can be made by phone, online or via email.
3.2 A reservation is only final after confirmation by RTS.
3.3 The customer is responsible for providing accurate information, including:

date and time
-
pickup and destination address
-
number of passengers
-
luggage information
-
flight number (if applicable)
3.4 For airport transfers, the customer is responsible for providing correct flight details. RTS advises taking possible delays, traffic or waiting times into account.
4. Rates & Payments
4.1 RTS applies legally established meter rates for regular taxi services and fixed prices for many airport and long-distance rides.
4.2 Rates may consist of:

starting fare
-
distance-based fare
-
time-based fare
-
waiting time
-
surcharges where applicable (e.g. excessive waiting time or additional stops)
4.3 Payment can be made by:
-
cash
-
debit card
-
credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
-
Apple Pay / Google Pay
-
invoice (business clients only, subject to prior agreement)
4.4 Business rides are invoiced monthly or as agreed.
4.5 Fixed-price agreements apply only to the agreed route and number of passengers.
5. Waiting Time, No-Show & Cancellations
5.1 Waiting time
For pre-booked rides, the driver waits up to 5 minutes free of charge.
Additional waiting time is charged according to the legal waiting rate.
5.2 No-show
RTS may classify a ride as a no-show if:
-
the customer does not appear at the agreed location, and
-
the customer cannot be reached by phone, and
-
the driver has waited at least 15 minutes
No-show costs: full ride price or meter fare.
5.3 Cancellations
Free cancellation is possible up to:
-
30 minutes before departure for regular rides
-
1 hour before departure for airport transfers
-
24 hours before departure for group or taxi van bookings
Late cancellations may be charged in full or in part.
6. Luggage & Customer Liability
6.1 The customer must clearly indicate the amount of luggage. Excess luggage may result in:

vehicle adjustment
-
additional charges
-
refusal of transport
6.2 Fragile items must be properly packed by the customer. RTS is not liable for damage to insufficiently packed items.
7. Safety & Conduct
7.1 RTS drivers hold all required legal permits and RTX certification.
7.2 Customers must follow driver instructions relating to safety, traffic and regulations.
7.3 RTS reserves the right to refuse transport in cases of:

aggressive behavior
-
safety risks
-
excessive alcohol or drug use
-
unsafe luggage or vehicle overloading
8. Liability of RTS
8.1 RTS is not liable for delays caused by:
-
traffic congestion
-
weather conditions
-
roadworks
-
force majeure
-
traffic incidents
-
incorrect information provided by the customer
8.2 RTS is only liable for direct damage demonstrably caused by negligence of RTS or its driver.
8.3 RTS is never liable for consequential damage, including:
-
missed flights
-
alternative travel costs
-
business losses
9. Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure (such as pandemics, strikes, extreme weather, system failures or legal restrictions), RTS may modify, suspend or cancel services without liability.
10. Complaints & Reports

10.2 RTS will handle complaints carefully and provide feedback.
10.3 For general taxi complaints in Rotterdam, the official Taxi Complaints Desk Rotterdam may also be used.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
RTS processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

12. Applicable Law
Dutch law applies exclusively to these terms and conditions.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Rotterdam.
